Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

New Logo and ID

I was feeling a bit tired of my old signature. Specially cause it used to get in the way of my drawings changing the focus of the entire piece. So I made myself a new one that is more simple and elegant and that would easilly mix with the backgrounds and become an element of it. Think now it won't drive people's attention to my name instead of the picture!

Already added it to all drawings in my gallery. Hopefully, in the next days I'll finish adding it to my photos, manips and paintings^^

I've also gotten a new ID!!! As a prize for *BlackWolfeAmazon's contest, the wonderful 3D artist !JS-Images used a picture of me and made me as a 3D character!!!
I loved it so much! Specially cause all my family recognized me in the image even before I told them it was supposed to be me^^

My birthday is comming!!!

Yey!!! Less than a month to my birthday!!!
I hope you all find the time to stop by on May 1st and give me a b-day hug...

Defining an art style

I've felt lately that I enjoy doing anime/manga art more then the others. Of course, doing a realistic painting here and there, or taking some nice flowers shots is really fun. But I found out that, for now, drawing is more my thing^^
I won't stop doing other art styles, specially if I fell in the mood of changing a bit for a day, but think from now on you'll see a lot more drawing submission from me.
Hope you enjoy this new artistic fase of mine...
